- Tack and gybe detection, with how much speed each one cost you.
- Polar performance: how close you sailed to your boat's target speed, plus time spent at each point of sail.
- Personal records for top speed, longest distance and longest time on the water.
No wind instruments? Wayhelm estimates wind from historical weather data, and labels those numbers as estimated so you know how much to trust them.

Segments
Race the course, even when there's no race.
Drop a set of gates around your usual course: start line, windward mark, leeward mark. Every sail that goes through them lands on the leaderboard, including ones sailed before the segment existed.
